Introduction:
The electricity department has to maintain a number of details regarding the electricity used by consumers, the equipment being used, the various transformers that are established at various locations in the city, the power used by the transformers etc.
The objective of this application is to maintain the details of power distribution companies. The application maintains details of power supply,substations, and transformers. The purpose is to maintain data and information in a systematic way to streamline the management aspects.
Existing System:
In present system all work is done manually. The power distribution companies provide electricity to the electric department which they distribute to the consumers through transformers.
The existing system considers the following activities
1. The administrator writes down all the details of the availability of the transformers and their locations
2. They record the maintenance schedule of each transformer
3. They also record the amount of supply provided and the other details regarding each and every transformer
Problem in the Existing System
• Retrieval of data is difficult
• No proper records maintenance
• Error Prone system
Proposed System:
The proposed system maintains a centralized repository of entire information which facilitates proper organization and maintenance of data.
The system calculates energy losses and profits in power distribution. Data will be maintained at transformer, substation and feeder levels. We can audit the loss and profit regarding a particular feeder with in a substation by inputting the total input reading of a particular month with regarding to billed units.
The main goal of the system is to automate the process carried at the electrical department
