ABSTRACT
Normally we are using aluminum melting furnace by electrical or fuel burned. Electrical furnaces are not used in present power situation, Fuel fired furnaces are comparatively higher expensive. So both electrical and fuel fired system is one of more advantageous which gives you a top performance by using two in one furnace.
You may spared from the short false of any one system it can be run at another one. Two more options are added to this system to minimize the heat losses. The additional options are top cover made up of mild steel and ceramic blankets which are more efficient, versatile and economic energy saving system.
INTRODUCTION
Existing furnace are electrical and gas furnace, here only one fuel is used. Single furnace cost is higher whereas they cannot be used in another option. So to change electrical furnace, the furnace cost will increase that’s why we planed to introduce dual fuel furnace. At the same time furnace efficiency will be improved.
PRESENT PROBLEMS
Nowadays more power failure occurs so we cannot able to run the machine at electrical source for long time.
Evaporation rate is very high during aluminium melting process.
Aluminium melting time consumption is comparatively high.
More fuel cost to increase the evaporation of heat.
Higher Temperature of crucible will increase crucible furnace failure.

BENEFITS OF ELECTRIC & FUEL SYSTEM
At a time fuel and electrical source is used .
Very economical to compare the electrical and fuel. because melting is maintained at gas and holding is maintained electrical source excess fuel consumption is controlled.
Top cover arrangement is minimized a heat evaporation losses and improved efficiency.
Ceramic blanket of a side wall to minimized a heat losses .out side heat conduction is control.
Crucible life increased because metal temperature can be changes at power failure time.
Number of coil is minimized and coil cost is reduced and investment cost reduced.
Furnace efficiency will be increased in system

WHY WE ARE USING DUEL FUEL SYSTEM
Single fuel furnace is higher fuel consumption.
Electrical furnace is not supported in power failure time.
Electrical furnace using Ni-chrome coils, it is higher initial cost.
Electrical furnace melting time is higher than the fuel furnace.
Fuel furnace having diesel or gas fired, is consume higher fuel holding time.
Power failure time any one system failure will breakdown, another system will use the melting. so production can not be stopped.
Diesel or gas system will higher melting efficient .
