Abstract— Enterprise Data warehouse (EDW) is a system of unified database that holds all the secured business information through which it can be accessible across the company. It is a system for creating, reporting, analysing the data. They are considered to be the central repositories of information from different sources of the enterprise. They also contains historical and current data marts to represent the secured data. One of the tool which is used in the ST organisation is the SAP Business Objects through which one can able to have an access on the information of the different data marts such as sales, marketing, platform, logistics etc.
The issues in the existing system primarily depend on the security and accessibility factors. My approach to this menace about the tool is to have a secured access and controllability of the number of users to use the tool in the organisation. For this I have created a web application which is interfaced with the SAP BOXI tool. I have also created an administrators (Power Users) to have access on the number of users who want to access the tool. I have created the required utility for all the users associated with the tool though this web application.

I. INTRODUCTION
In ST Microelectronics there are number of Business tools which are used to enhance the performance of the organisation in terms of efficiency and other major factors. In same way, Data warehouse is a concept through which these tools help in reporting and analysing the data. These are the central storage for all data marts of the organisation. The data marts are simpler form of data warehouse of an enterprise which can represent the functional area such as sales, marketing, infrastructure, and support groups in an enterprise. It can also add values to the operational business applications such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems. Nowadays users believe that up to-date, accurate, integrated information about their supply chain, products and customers are critical for their survival.
Here I have restructured the data in the organisation
through using a SAP business tool called BOXI (Business Intelligence Version XI) which can provide performance management, planning, reporting, and analysis of the information in the organisation. Thus the BI (Business Intelligence) tool is used as the front end reporting tool which is stored centrally to all the communities of the users. BI is generally referred as the technology driven process which can help the corporate users to have an advantage to their respective business applications. The potential motive of BOBJ (Business Objects) includes accelerating decision making, optimizing business process, increased efficiency and gaining advantages over business rivals. Thus it provides a required form of analysis in the data warehouse environment.
II. LITERATURE SURVEY
Most organizations still experience an absence of Business Intelligence (BI) in their basic leadership forms while actualizing endeavour frameworks, for example, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Supply Chain Management (SCM). Hence, a model and methods to assess and survey the knowledge level of big business frameworks can enhance choice backing. This project proposes a specialist apparatus to assess the BI capabilities of big business frameworks, and joins a far reaching audit of late writing with measurable techniques for element examination[1]. Business knowledge (BI) is the procedure of changing crude information into valuable data for more compelling vital, operational bits of knowledge, and basic leadership purposes with the goal that it yields genuine business advantages. This new rising strategy cannot just enhance applications in big business frameworks and modern informatics, separately, additionally assume an essential part to connect the association between big business frameworks and mechanical informatics. This project was planned as a short prologue to BI with the accentuation on the central calculations and late advance. Also, I bring up the difficulties and chances to easily interface mechanical informatics to big business frameworks for BI research
ADMIN LOGIN: In the first module I have created an administrator who can have full rights to access the SAP BOBJ tool from the web application created. Only the power users who have been given access to act as the admin can communicate with the user’s requests. These user’s request can be any of the utilities which I have developed in the web application. The credentials thus given to the admins cannot be viewable as I have decrypted it using the standard AES algorithm.
ADD USER: It is necessary in an organization to add multiple users to have access of the entire information in a business tool. So I have created this feature so that the admin can add the required user in the tool to have access on it. Earlier the SAP Business object tool had the same feature but it was having a lag that every user can able to know the credentials to logon and access it without prior authentication procedures. Now I have created this feature to add multiple users who are new to the tool by giving the control to the Admin.
The Administrator will receive the request for the creation of new user and will proceed with his process of logging in this web based application by entering the credentials which is encrypted. After the new user is created the requested user will be automated with an email about the successful registration with the SAP tool. It will provide a secured mode of registration thus avoiding any duplicate creation of users in order to access the information. Moreover only the admin can able to login this application as I have provided his username and password in the utility program. This credentials are then encrypted to hide the information from non-authenticated users.
RESET PASSWORD: The reset password utility is the most prominent feature to be added in the SAP tool so that the user can able to change or reset the password for security reasons. Previously it was difficult to acquire the lost password and the user was unable to access it. The account was getting disabled. Now the user who has lost or forgotten the password can able to change by requesting the administrator who is having the utility to reset by this application. The request is forwarded to the admin and he will be logging into this application and will go to the manage user tab through which the admin can reset the password.
Now the random password is generated and sent to the requested users. If the registered user is not matched with the existing Emails which the admin has, it will prompt the user to update the Email. This update Email utility is provided for the existing users who have not shared their Email addresses before. Now this reset utility will perform two tasks of resetting if Email exists or update if Email does not exists. This utility is also called as Self-serve.
ADDING USER TO GROUP: Now the newly created user can be added to the existing groups of the SAP Business Objects tools in order to have the membership of the group. By default all the users created will go to the default group called “Everyone”. But I can also add a particular user to any group which are existing in the SAP tool. This feature is accessed only by the admins through this web application. Previously all the users can able to add them to any group without any authentication from the business perspective of the organization. It leads to ambiguity in the group of unwanted users.
Now the user can request the admin to add in a defined group in order to have access on that particular group. The admin again uses the credentials to login and makes the user available in the requested group. The admin checks the group which was requested by the user exists in the list, if it exists it will add the user to that particular group
GROUP MEMBERSHIP: This utility can create a new group in the tool so that the requested user can become the member through this utility. This feature can enable the existing users to be grouped in to the newly created group. This feature is in manage user tab through which a group can be created for multiple users. The newly created user or existing users can be added to this new group by giving again request to the administrator. The group by default goes to the public domain in the SAP tool which will be visible to all the users. The primary motive of this application is to have the users in a well-organized group of their respective nature.
E MAIL UPDATE: We have seen that when I reset the password it will check for the E-mail to generate the random passwords in order to reset. Now I have this utility when the E-mail does not exist. It will prompt the user to update their E-mail so that they can register for future services with tool. Now the admin asks the user to update the E-mail. Thus the users who have not registered their details will be able to update automatically when they use this web application to access the SAP Business Object tool.
Once I have all the users with their required E-mails registered this web based application can be effectively used and the admin can have the authenticated control to access the SAP tool in the organization. This feature also enables the authenticated users to have access on the Business Objects. Since it is very expensive, the updating e-mail can effectively pave way for the multiple access of the tool.
In the first module I have created an administrator who can have full rights to access the SAP BOBJ tool from the web application created. Only the power users who have been given access to act as the admin can communicate with the user’s requests. These user’s request can be any of the utilities which I have developed in the web application. The credentials thus given to the admins cannot be viewable as I have decrypted it using the standard AES algorithm.
Now the third party or the user in the community cannot access the web application without prior credentials of admin. The environment is applied in order to differentiate from test, QA, live servers of the organization. Generally all the applications created are deployed in the test rather than live environment. Live have certain privileges to be deployed inside it. So test is preferred.
V. CONCLUSION
In this project I able to create a web application to the existing SAP Business Tool and add the required utilities to the application. We have concentrated on security of the data marts and the data warehouse of the organization. It is important to note that I have been able to access the tool which is confidential around the organization. The existing failure which was pertaining has been resolved using the utilities. The reset password utility forms the basis for this project. The admin can now able to do the required actions on the user request on the SAP BI tool. The primary motive of this thesis is to provide the authenticated and efficient handle to the existing SAP BI/BOXI/BOB tool which is widely used in many organizations.
