Abstracts: Resistance spot welding is one the most popular method of welding. Copper based electrode is used to weld the AISI-304 work pieces in resistance spot welding. Design of Experiment (DOE) approach is used to study the effect of welding variables on the ultimate tensile strength of work piece. In the present work, experiments are carried out to investigate the effect of Thickness, Welding current and cyclic time on ultimate tensile strength. Ultimate tensile strength value is measured using universal testing machine (UTE-40). Analysis of variances is used for examining the impact of welding factor and factor interactions on ultimate tensile strength.After performing the experiment the thickness is more significant parameter compared to other two parameter.
