WHAT IS ENERGY SECTOR
The energy sector is a generic term for all of the industries involved in the production and sale of energy, including fuel extraction, manufacturing, refining and distribution.
ENERGY POLIY IF INDIA
The by energy policy of India is characterized by tradeoff between four major drivers
Rapidly growing economy.
Increasing household incomes.
Limited domestic reserves of fossil fuel.
Indoor, urban and regional environmental impacts.
NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES
These resources often exist in a fixed amount and are consumed much faster than nature can create them
examples-
Fossil fuels like coal, petroleum, natural gas
Nuclear power like uranium
PROBLEMS WITH SOLAR POWER
Cost of solar power
Solar panels are not cheap because they are constructed from fragile materials (semiconductors, glass, etc.) they must constantly be maintained and often replaced.
Less efficient
This problem has been offset by gathering together of many large panels acting in accord to produce energy.
