Digital Image Processing Process
higher level processing involves “making sense” of an ensemble of recognized objects, performing cognitive functions normally associated with vision.
HISTOGRAMS
Histograms in general are frequency distributions, and histograms of images describe the frequency of the intensity values that occur in an image
Image processing is used in many different fields. In medicine (the ultrasound machine, X-ray machine), astronomy (Hubbles telescope taking photographs in X-rays, Gamma rays, Infrared) and military (image maps used in ground hugging missiles), these are just a few of the fields in which image processing is widely used.
Image processing is also used in everyday items (digital cameras) to mission critical systems.
Face detection is a computer technology that determines the locations and sizes of human faces in arbitrary (digital) images. It detects facial features and ignores anything else, such as buildings, trees and bodies
Medical imaging is the technique and process used to create images of the human body(for clinical purposes seeking to reveal, diagnose or examine disease)
