In this project we are using the FM transmitter and FM receiver. This TX and RX has be designed using the encoder and the decoder. The output from the FM transmitter is given to the Antenna as shown in the block diagram below. When the user presses a specific button, the receiver receives this data and after decoding the signal it will send the data to the PC using the interface board. The software in the PC will decode the signals and accordingly will perform the requested tasks, the tasks could be to close, restore, shut down, reboot etc. The software used are VC++, Java and C languages.

Initially the hardware is rigged and tested in the breadboard. When the circuits are correct, the same is fabricated on the PCB and again tested for its working. With the hardware working, this is interfaced to the PC and then the software for the same is developed using the VC++ and the java programs. As the Java does not support the ports directly, we have to use the JNI ( Java Native Interface) for the same.
