Abstract:
Now-a-days buses are major sources of traveling for every one. In several bus
stations many people are waiting for buses. Due to traffic buses may not come to their
destinations at exact time. It is the major problem for every one.
In this present scenario, we are designing a GPS-GSM based system which
identifies the location of bus exactly at which station it has started recently. For this
purpose, here we are using GSM-GPS connected to the bus and GSM connected at
different stations. This project implements a solution for enhancing public transportation
management services based on GPS and GSM. The system consists of IN-Bus module
which is equipped with GSM, GPS modules and Base station module which is equipped
with GSM module.
This project is designed with ARM7TDMI processor. In this project we
are using different modules such as LPC2148, GSM, GPS, IR pair, 16X2 LCD. The
project is implemented by using two modules Base station module and In-Bus
module. The In-Bus modules consists of IR pair to count the number of persons
in the bus and to find out the exact location of bus we are using GPS and the
information can be obtained as a message by using a GSM module.
The LPC2148 are based on a 16/32 bit ARM7TDMI-STM CPU with real-time
emulation and embedded trace support, together with 128/512 kilobytes of embedded
high speed flash memory. A 128-bit wide memory interface and unique accelerator
architecture enable 32-bit code execution at maximum clock rate.
