INTRODUCTION
1.1 Project Summary
Our main goal is to provide graphical user interface (GUI) and user friendly Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for oracle database. To achieve this we have to provide GUI features like creation of table, all operation on table, functions on tables, creation of views, utilities like Import, Export, SQL loader, SQL unloader granting and revoking privileges to the user and administrative features.
GUI of ORACLE is powerful tool which supports almost all features of oracle9i. It’s automated query generator function provide easy user interface.
1.2 Project Purpose
Our main purpose is to help out and decrement the work load of those users who are basically working with the tables and queries with the help of such modules which can be easier for them in a very right manner.
1.3 Project Scope
A person who is not familiar with the queries of ORACLE then also he or she is capable to working with queries using this project. If person doesn’t know about Oracle and how to implement its features then using this software he can have ease of implementations of those features and utilities of Oracle.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
2.1 Project Planning
2.1.1 Project Development Approach and Justification
We have used iterative waterfall development approach. We have divided project in Modules. Testing is inherent to every phase of the waterfall model. We proceed from one phase to the next in a purely sequential manner. Development moves from concept, through design, implementation, testing.
2.1.2 Project Plan
The project has to develop from many stages before reaching its final development. It offers a means to make the development process more visible. The waterfall model, sometimes called classic life cycle, suggests a systematic sequential approach to software development that begins with customer specification of requirements and progresses through planning, modeling, construction and deployment, culminating in on-going support of the completed software.
