Introduction
To develop a software application in favor of the business environments filled with diverse forms of content, continually changing and complex business processes, and an array of different line-of-business interfaces, companies for gaining operational efficiencies, reduce risk, and improve quality through exception management and end-to-end process visibility.
The solution will be used to demonstrate how value can be delivered across any business process by linking business processes to relevant business content, and to the people that need to make business decisions.
Purpose
HR Operations Manageris a web application which helps in short listing the applicants and recruiting the applicant based on the requirement for the position offered.
The applicants can send their resume to the identified e-mail id along with his/her opportunity id. The contents of the mail are retrieved and stored. The opportunity id helps in forwarding the applicant’s details to the respective HR.
Manager will schedule the interview and if the applicant is short listed, an offer letter will be sent out and the employee is assigned with an employee id. If the applicant is rejected, the applicant will be sent with a reply which contains the reason for his/her rejection.
This web application is more effective and helps in quick recruitment, thereby ensuring the growth of the company.
JAVA
Java is an object-oriented programming language developed by Sun Microsystems a company best known for its high end UNIX workstations. Java language was designed to be small, simple,and portable across platforms, operating systems, both at the source and at the binary level, whichmeans that Java programs (applet and application) can run on any machine that has the Java virtualmachine (JVM) installed.
Overall Description
HR Operations Manager is a web application which helps in short listing the applicants and recruiting the applicants based on the requirement of the position offered. As the resumes, uploaded by the applicants are first verified by HR Head and then by Manager, the possibilities of selecting efficient candidates increases.
Product Perspective
The HROM is independent and self contained. The principal external interfaces of this product are login page, page to view the uploaded files, page to send messages, page to update the results. The peripheral equipments used are RAD, DB2, a browser, messaging engine, WebSphere engine. The user interacts through the browser and his interaction with the site will be stored in the database.
Product Function
The software HROM allows the new applicants to register and upload their resume. The file uploaded will be stored in the data base. The HR manager short lists the resume based on some criteria and forwards the resumes to corresponding Manager. Interview will then be scheduled, based on the results the data base will be updated, i.e. a new Employee ID will be generated on selection. A reply will be sent to the applicant on rejection.
