Abstracts: The project work will be carried out on an old Hero Honda CD 100 4 stroke petrol vehicle. This is an experiment to convert the vehicle into a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and increase its efficiency. In this vehicle, the electric batteries are used which can be charged by connecting it into the main (House) electricity as well as can be charged while the engine is running. In this vehicle, the electric motor is connected to the front wheel, thus making it a dual powered vehicle. The batteries are efficient for about 50-55 kms and can be fully charged in about 6-7 hours. Thus the efficiency can be increased by using the batteries. Moreover, in recent future, more efficient and light weighted batteries made from silicon nano particles can be very useful to make this type of hybrid vehicle. Li-ion batteries can also be used
