ABSTRACT
An INTRANET STAFF BLOG is a web application that is used to maintain the details of staff in a college. This blog will consists of all the functionalities that are performed by the teaching staff with in the college .
INTRODUCTION
INTRANET : An intranet is a private computer network that uses Internet Protocol technologies to securely share any part of an organization's information or operational systems within that organization.
Intranet is used
1) In contrast to internet,
2)A network between organizations,
3)Network within an organization.
4)It may host multiple private websites and constitute an important component of internal communication and collaboration.

BLOG: A Blog is an application usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary or descriptions of events.
A blog application has built-in functionality such as posting articles, HTML editor, commenting, archive, etc.
Entries are displayed in reverse chronological order.
The content is in the form of posts and comments on those posts.

4.purpose
EXISTING SYSTEM
There is no separate blog for the teachers in order to maintain the staff related information
Activities performed in a college such as updating the schedules, time tables and information related to the staff are not automated.
If there is any faculty meeting then they will know it only when they get notice board paper.
Maintenance of staff attendance is done through manual process which involves many mistakes.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
This is an intranet based web application which features about
a)Providing Individual profile for every lecturer confined to their department.
b)Updating the information about the college status, special events, and technical activities.
c)Updating the staff related information such as job assignment activities, handling special events.
d)Maintenance of staff attendance with in the blog.
e)Maintenance of Communication between staff members from different branches in a college.
f)Meetings and Notification related information.
