AMRI carries out a SWOT analysis for recruitment. Justify the necessity of this analysis.
SWOT analysis for recruitment process by AMRI helps them to overcome the problems in recruitment process. It helps to know there main source (external as well as internal) for recruiting people, this helps them to look at that source first whenever there was a vacancy in the hospital.
Due to the competition from private hospitals and also due to high turnover rate it has to conduct a SWOT analysis so as to know there drawbacks and to overcome them. Generally, the selection process in AMRI was very long and undergoing various stages it resulting in waste of time as well as resources. Conducting SWOT helps them to overcome those drawbacks and look at the source which helps to appoint a person quickly.
They can know their opportunities and use them when there was any vacancy. There was a huge turnover in case of nurses at that situations SWOT analysis helps to know their opportunity areas and goes to there to fill that gap as soon as possible.
Finally, SWOT analysis is a strategic planning tool that examines the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats affecting an organization. Although SWOT analysis is criticized for being subjective and of limited value, human resources departments can use it to measure performance and set future goals.
How can AMRI further strengthen and attain speed in recruitment?
Recruitment and Selection process in AMRI hospital is very large. It involving so many heads in the selection process which resulting in taking more time even for selecting a nurse because recruitment process policy was same for all types of jobs.
First, the respective department head has to fill requisition form to handover to HR department and it taking 7 days to settle the requirement. In case of crossing the sanctioned period HR department shall submit it to the appropriate authority in turn even this taking another 7 days to overcome.
TO strengthen and attain speed in recruitment HR department has to be equipped with an authority of sanctioning by conducting a small research for the need of filing the vacancy and recruiting as soon as possible because they already knew that there was huge turn over in the case of nurses and a quick selection process is required in case of them so as to provide general services to patients without any inconvenience.
