Abstracts: Laser cutting process is a technology that uses a Laser to cut materials and is typically used for industrial manufacturing applications but is also starting to be used by small business. Cost of this process is extremely high, but it is used due to its flexibility and high quality product. In this Project work kerf width and surface roughness (Performance Parameters) have been analyzed for the different values of Laser Power, Gas pressure, Thickness of Material, Nozzle Diameter and Cutting Speed (Process Parameters). At the end of experiment it is seen that Cutting Speed and Thickness have significant effect on surface roughness and laser power has insignificant effect on it. Kerf width increases with increase in thickness and cutting speed and decrease in gas pressure. Surface roughness decreases with increases in thickness and cutting speed and also decreases with increase in cutting speed for the same value of thickness. The experimental results have been used to train ANN using Back-Propagation Algorithm which gives the optimum value of the performance parameters like Kerf Width and Surface Roughness (SR) based on the influence of processing parameters such as Laser Power, Gas pressure, Thickness of Material, Nozzle Diameter and Cutting Speed.
