Interference .ppt (Size: 1.31 MB / Downloads: 80)
INTRODUCTION
Interference is a phenomenon between the two mating teeth when the tip of one tooth under cuts the root of another mating tooth.
It mainly occurs in the mating of two gears.
ABOUT GEARS
A gear is a toothed element which is used for transmitting rotary motion from one shaft to another.
Gear drive is a smooth and positive drive.
If the distance between the two shaft is very small , we are using gears for transmitting motion from one shaft to another.

interference
Interference is a phenomenon between the two mating teeth when the tip of one tooth under cuts the root of another mating tooth.
Spur gear teeth are manufactured by either involutes profile or cycloid profile.
Most of the gears are manufactured by involutes profile with 20° pressure angle.
