TESTING
INTRODUCTION
Testing is a process of executing program with an aim to find errors. Testing is vital for the success of the system. Testing demonstrates that the software functions appear to be working according to the specifications and performance requirement appear to have been met.
Client/Server Database Systems
Client/server systems are constructed so that the database can reside on a central computer, known as a server, and be shared among several users. Users access the server through a client or server application:
In a two-tier client/server system, users run an application on their local computer, known as a client, that connects over a network to the server running SQL Server. The client application runs both business logic and the code to display output to the user, and is also known as a thick client.
Distributed
•Java supports distributed computation using Remote Method Invocation (RMI) concept.
•The server and client(s) can communicate with another and the computations can be divided among several computers which makes the programs to execute rapidly.
•In distributed systems, resources are shared.
Dynamic
•The Java Virtual Machine(JVM) maintains a lot of runtime information about the program and the objects in the program.
•Libraries are dynamically linked during runtime.
•So, even if you make dynamic changes to pieces of code, the program is not effected.
WAMP SERVER
WAMPs are packages of independently created programs installed on computers that use a Microsoft Windows operating system.
WAMP is an acronym formed from the initials of the operating system Microsoft Windows and the principal components of the package Apache, MySQL and one of PHP, Perl or Python. Apache is a web server. MySQL is an open-source database. PHP, Perl and Python are scripting languages that can manipulate information held in a database and generate web pages dynamically each time content is requested by a browser. Other programs may also be included in a package, such as php MyAdmin which provides a graphical user interface for the MySQL database manager.
