Project Name - IT CLOUD SERVER SETUP IT Cloud Server Setup IT operations are a crucial aspect of most organizational operations around the world. One of the main concerns is business continuity; companies rely on their information systems to run their operations. If a system becomes unavailable, company operations may be impaired or stopped completely. It is necessary to provide a reliable infrastructure for IT operations, in order to minimize any chance of disruption. Information security is also a concern, and for this reason a data center has to offer a secure environment which minimizes the chances of a security breach. A data center must therefore keep high standards for assuring the integrity and functionality of its hosted computer environment.The scope of this project is to setup infrastructure in Datacenter. The Client is having 150 User that want to own a domain environment with Clouding Architecture for Virtualization.This project will be carried out in total 3 phases.
Project Work
The scope of this project is to setup infrastructure in Data Center. The Client is having 150 User that want to own a domain environment with Clouding Architecture for Virtualization. This project will be carried out in total 3 phases. 5.1.1 PHASE 1: This phase will be carried out during Initial Stage of Project , below are the action plan, which has to be perform- 1.Start the Site Survey of the Place where Data Center has to be setup. This include following Criteria of Feasibility: o Place should be wide with tile flooring. o UPS power supply should be available as long as possible. o Earthening pit should be properly fixed. o Rail tray to lay network cables. o Place to install Network & server racks. 2. Submit Feasibility Report to the Project Team. 3. Make a Network Diagram & Submit it to the Client for Approval. 4. Prepare Below of Material for All Network & Server Devices & Submit the same to PMO for Further Approval. The Below of Material (BOM) Containing Following Devices. o 2 Open Racks of 42 U to Place Network Devices o 7 Rack Mount Servers(Dell 3250) o 2 Cisco Firewalls o 2 Cisco 3750 Layer 3 Switches(48 Ports) o 4 Cisco 2960 Layer2 Switches(48 Ports) for User Data Connectivity o 1 EPBX for VOIP Phones o 4 Cisco 2960 Switches (48 Ports) for IP Phones Connectivity o 1 IBM Storage of 2 TB o 1 Tape Library o 10 LTO Cartridge o 1 Backup Utility Software for taking Servers Backup o 10 Apple MacBook for Directors o 40 Laptops for PM, TM, TLs o 100 Desktops for Executives & Consultants o 2 Eaton UPS of 180 KV o 10 UPS Battery (Rockets) for Battery Bank o 200 Windows Client License o 10 Windows 2008 Server Licenses o 200 Exchange Email Client Licenses o 200 Microsoft Office License o 10 Patch Panel of 48 Lan ports o 15 Cable Managers PHASE 2: This phase will be carried out during the Ground level work. Below are the action items to be done- Install Rail Trays on Server room Floor under Floor Tiles 1. Lay Network Cables from Each Floor to data Center. 2. Lay Power cables & UPS Connectivity cables in Baton through the walls. 3. Install Air conditioning Systems in Server Rooms 4. Connected Network Cables with RJ 45 connectors. 5. Fixed open Rack on Server Floor. 6. Installed Cable Managers& Patch Panels. 7. Installed Network Switches in Open Rack. 8. Install EPBX in Open Rack. 9. Put Server rack on the floors. 10. Installed Rack Mount Server & Storage in Server Rack. 11. Install Tape Library in Server Rack. 12. Give Power to Rack & Open Rack PHASE 3: This phase also in continuation of phase2 and will be carried out during & Server Cloud & Network setup Execution, Below are the action items to be performed. 1. Configure Layer3 Switch with VLAN Configuration. 2. Configure both Cisco Firewall 3. Connected All Layer 2 Switches with Layer 3 in Redundancy. 4. Configure EPBX & Connected with Layer 2 Switches. 5. Install Basic server setup. 6. Installed VMware application to make Virtual environment. 7. Install Raid on Storage to get the HA clustering 8. Install Network Operating Systems on server. 9. Activate Windows Servers. 10. Install Active Directory in 2 windows Server 11. Install Exchange server Utility on 3 Windows Server. 12. Install FTP Server. 13. Install WEB server. 14. Install File Server by Making Share folders. 15. Create Users in Active Directory & Exchange. 16. Install Internet Connection & connected to Firewall. 17. Make Natting Configuration on firewall so that internal users could access internet. 18. Make user login in domain environment on laptops & desktops. 19. Map network drives on end users computers. 20. Install Microsoft offices on Users laptops. IF working fine then ask monitoring & test team to check the connectivity, this will be the final step of this activity.
