This Power Plant Scrutinizing System facilitates the automatic control of parameter like Temperature. The system monitors continuously the temperature at the designated nodes using a suitable temperature sensor. The analog voltage from the sensor is converted into digital form using an ADC and is further processed using the microcontroller 8051. The 8051 MCU controls the ADC to periodically sample the analog voltage and is serialized and send to the remote station using the Zigbee module.
The remote station receives the information using a zigbee module and compares the temperature with the preset values. A 4x4 keypad is used to set the higher and lower limits of the temperature. If the temperature is above the maximum set value, a command is send to the measuring system to activate the relay to turn on the cooling fan. Similarly if the temperature is below the set value another command is send to the monitoring unit to switch on the heater to maintain the temperature. Thus using the zigbee network, the system facilitates the remote monitoring and control of the temperature automatically.
