LASER COMMUNICATION CAN BE EASILY DEPLOYED SINCE THEY ARE INEXPENSIVE,SMALL,LOW POWER AND DO NOT REQUIRE ANY RADIO INTERFERENCE STUDIES.

THE DESIGN SHOWN ABOVE IS THE BASIC MODEL FOR THE LASER COMMUNICATION.IT CONSISTS OF A TRANSMITTER(TO TRANSMIT THE SIGNAL) AND A RECEIVER(TO OBTAIN THE TRANSMITTED SIGNAL).THE TRANSMITTER HERE CONSISTS OF..
1.A/D:FOR INSTANCE LET THE INPUT GIVEN TO TRANSMITTER BE A VOICE SIGNAL,THE VOICE SIGNAL IS NOTHING BUT A SPEECH SIGNAL WHICH IS AN ANALOG SIGNAL.SO,IN ORDER TO CONVERT THIS ANALOG SIGNAL INTO A DIGITAL ONE,WE USE A/D CONVERTER.
2.MCU-MULTIPOINT CONTROL UNIT
IT IS USED TO CONTROL OR MANAGE THE DATA AMONGST THE TWO POINTS.IT TAKES THE OUTPUT FROM THE A/D AND TRANSFERS IT TO THE UART.
3.UART-UNIVERSAL ASYNCHRONOUS RECEIVER/TRANSMITTER
A UART IS THE MICROCHIP WITH PROGRAMMING THAT CONTROLS A COMPUTER’S INTERFACE TO ITS ATTATCHED SERIAL DEVICES. SPECIFICALLY,IT PROVIDES THE COMPUTER WITH THE RS-232C DATA TERMINAL EQUIPMENT(DTE) INTERFACE SO THAT IT CAN TALK TO AND EXCHANGE DATA WITH MODEMS AND OTHER SERIAL DEVICES.
