LOW COST WIRE LESS SENSOR NETWORK FOR IN –FIELD OPERATION MONITORING OF INDUCTION MOTORS
LOW COST WIRE.ppt (Size: 3.27 MB / Downloads: 40)
INTRODUCTION
Motor monitoring is necessary-implementation of proper and cost-effective motor maintenance, repair and replacing strategies.
Detection, analysis & correction of machine problems before failure takes place.
Thus increasing machine performance& life, reducing consequential damage& brake down
a wireless sensor network for in-field operation monitoring of three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors is proposed.
Wireless introduces cost reduction and ease of maintenance and commissioning in industrial plant.
The network is able to sink operation-related data of several motors to one central point.
DATA ACQUISITION DEVICE
Smart switch
The Smart Switch has a USB 2.0 data transfer of 64 bytes that is used to local data transfer
It is able to read line
currents, line-to-line voltages and temperatures,
Performs several calculations, such as input real power, power factor, voltage and current unbalance, fault alarm,
automatically manages the stator winding connection mode as a function of the motor line current.
all data is acquired through serial port and sent to the developed communications module
motor protection features requiring a fast response are locally implemented in the device itself.
Hardware Platform
Nordic nRF9E5 is a 433/868/915MHz RF Transceiver with an embedded 8051 Compatible Microcontroller and 4 Input, 10 Bit ADC.
PCB also has a generic 25320 EEPROM with SPI interface as a ROM boot loader. A signaling led, a LM19 temperature sensor and an optional RS-485 current loop interface driver
Network configuration &deploying
Deploying and commissioning a WSN is currently a time and manpower consuming task.
the deploying phase has a critical influence during WSN operation because a poor placing may prevent the regular operation of the all network
During commissioning a random seed and an identification tag (ID code) are given to each and every node.
The identification tag is used to build a node’s radio address
random seed is used to initiate communications in case a radio collision occurs.
