Introduction about the Project:
This project is mainly aimed to simplify Airways process and to improve customer service in terms of information management, related to Airways by giving them full data on flight schedule, booking Conformations, custom forms etc.
Different Forwarders and Agents will register their flight details and they are quotated their Transportation charges. According to that the minimum quotated forwarder will be selected by the Admin.
After verifying their quotation by the admin, their bill was streamlined by the forwarder, and then the bill was viewed by the admin and sent to customer by forwarder.
Existing System:
In this system we can maintain the currency level only within India. So it will not Possible for the client in the other Countries. Before going to quotation approval, Weight level is not done by the forwarder and admin so we can’t deliver the Material for the customers requirements. So delivery process will be extending.
Proposed System:
Here currency level checking by the rate for all the Country .So we can improve Logistics process for different countries, Weight is checked by the forwarder and the admin so we can deliver the material for the Customer requirements. So we can deliver the material on the Specified date and time.
Forwarder Registration:
Initially the forwarder has to register their details with the admin. After registering the forwarder, the admin will provide the login accounts to the forwarder.
Using the login account the forwarder can enter into an admin site. If they want to edit their already existing details they can do through the editing interface. Nobody can edit the information’s of other forwarders.
Agent Registration:
Agents are always registering only by the forwarders. If the forwarders can’t forward the goods to the specified location given by the admin, then the forwarders will approach the agents. So agents are always controlled by forwarders.
Each agent must have at least one forwarder. There is no direct communication between the admin and agents. If we select the agent it will be enable only the current user it’s taken from session because nobody can edit the information’s of another agent.
Flight Registration:
In this flight registration the forwarders can register their regular flights along with the departure and arrival times. They can register via location details also.
Using these flight details forwarders can make the quotation for the particular flight with specified locations. And also they can make a schedule through the flight details. While making a schedule, they can select the destination for transporting the goods from the flight details. So this flight registration process is involved in the quotation and schedule process.
Other Expenses:
Before making a quotation the forwarder has to register the other expenses amount. Other expenses in the sense, the forwarder can claim their other costs like local transportation fees, food fees and Documentation fees etc.
Flight Quotation:
In this Flight Quotation admin can receive the quotations from the forwarders.
Different forwarders can make their quotations along with the quotation no.
The Process of making a quotation includes transportation location and approximate weight along with the amount.
In the Quotation interface whenever the forwarder entered his id by that time the other expenses for that particular forwarder will be fetched and displayed in the other expenses field.
The Net amount will be calculated by adding the amount and the total other expenses amount. While storing the quotation details we have to convert that amount in to the currency which is selected by the forwarder for future reference.
System Implementation:
The implementation phase is less creative than system design. Implementation is that stage of project development where theoretical design is turned into the working system. No software project is assumed completed until it is successfully tested and implemented.
Implementation is concerned with the physical creation of the candidate system. User priorities, changes in organizational requirements, or environmental factors also call for system enhancements. An elaborate test data is prepared and the system is tested using that test data. While testing, errors are noted and corrections are made.
The corrections also noted for future use. Both the hardware and software securities are made to run the developed system successfully in future. This system is implemented using ASP .Net, VB .Net as front end MS SQL is used as back end. It works under the operating system Windows XP.
Structured Query Language (SQL):
To work with the database, you must use a set of commands and statements defined by the DBMS software. There are several different languages that can be used with relational databases; the most common is SQL.
A database in Microsoft SQL-Server 2000 consists of a collection of tables that contain data, and other objects, such as views, indexes, stored procedures, and triggers, defined to support activities performed with the data. The data stored in a database is usually related to a particular subject or process, such as inventory information for a manufacturing warehouse.
SQL Server can support many databases, and each database can store either interrelated data or data unrelated to that in the other database. Before you create a database, it is important to understand the parts of a database and how to design these parts to ensure that the database performs well after it is implemented.
