ABSTRACT
Polyesters have long been known from time immemorial. Even in antiquity man have knew and used natural polyesters, known upto the present time more often as resins , such as dammar gum, shellac, yacca gum, copal, amber etc. A long –known form of polyesters is represented by the widely used coatings which various vegetable oils (linseed, Tung etc.) form on drying in air. At present, the importance of natural polyesters is small.
Now it is required to carry out a preliminary design of a CSTR ( Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor) in the manufacture of unsaturated Polyester poly (ethylene terepthalate) from ethylene glycol and terepthalic acid for a capacity of 10 tonnes per day.
