OBJECTIVES:
Training of the technical personal in designing and manufacturing of tools, dyes and moulds , provisions of advisory services to small scale units including assistance in design and development of tool for various process, recommending measures to standardize components of dies ,jigs and other tools, design and manufacturing of dies, jigs and fixtures, gauges.
ACTIVITIES:
Apart from training ,CITD has been taking significant contribution in meeting the needs of industries in design and manufacturing of quality tools, CITD provides full pledged consultancy and serving facility to large, medium and small scale industries in the country, these includes assistance in design and development of tools for various purposes and it also recommends measure to standardizes tools and tooling elements, components of jigs and fixtures, dyes and moulds and other tools, CITD is a member of various technical comities of Euro of Indian standards

TRAINING PROGRAMMES:
CITD conducts several regular and part-time training programmes in the field of tool design and manufacturing. Low cost automation, mechatronics and computer aided design and computer aides manufacturing for the benefits of national and international participants. It also conducts short term courses, special purposes clinics in tool engineering, seminars, tailor made programmes, in various disciplines for the benefit of working personal.
Our training in post graduation in tool, dye and mould design consists of following modules and is of ‘one and halfs’ years of duration. Design of press tools/jigs fixtures/plastic moulds /forging dye casting dyes/gauges/cutting tools/CAM –CAD/CIM/tooling materials/process planning.
FACULTY:
CITD has availed the ILO experts services In various disciplines during the initial stages and many of the faculty under vent ILO fellowship programs for exposures in advanced tool engineering. The faculty members backed by educational qualifications and vast experinceses or imparting the advanced training and consultancy services in the fields of cutting tools, press tools, jigs, fixtures, plastic moulds, die-casting.
