Abstracts: At the beginning of the final year, we came to know about the important application of the Shell & Tube heat exchanger. In actual shell & tube heat exchanger one fluid is passing through tube and another through shell. By this phenomenon the overall heat transfer coefficient is determined. Many times in industries it happens that effectiveness of heat exchanger become low but complete replacement of heat exchanger is neither economical nor wise task. At that time investigating its’ working parameters become essential. As Ganatra D., Gajera S. ,Dodia P. ,Vadher A. had made working model of shell & tube heat exchanger in their final year project. But after investigating model experiments they have found that actual effectiveness is less than theoretical effectiveness one. So we have accepted as a task to improve effectiveness to reach up to theoretical one by making modifications.
