The term ' fixed deposit ' means that the deposit is fixed and repayable only after a specific period is over.
The account which is opened for a particular fixed period (time) by depositing particular amount (money) is known as Fixed (Term) Deposit Account.
Example- Fixed Deposit will often be used by individuals, businesses and financial institutions around the world as a means of storing their liquid funds for a fixed period of time for future use.
