Introduction:
Hello friends, are you searching for one good mini project for your submissions? If your answer is yes, then your search will end here. Today I am going to make a circuit that will indicate an incoming or outgoing call or massage from your mobile phone. Yes you can do such awesome mini project with some simple electrical components within no time. Let us start making our “Mobile incoming call indicator” mini project.
Components Used:
• IC 1 = NE555 (Timer IC)
• Resistors
• Capacitors
• Transistor : Q1 = BC548
• LED
• 6V DC Battery
• Diode: 1N5819
Description:
In this mini project we are going to make a simple circuit that will detect a mobile phone. In this mini project we have used a LED which will glow instantaneously when mobile phone rings.
Whenever your mobile phone receive an incoming call, it will activate a transistor in the circuit. The coil L1 acts as an antenna which will sense the oscillations. These oscillations then given to the base of transistor Q1 thus activating the transistor. As the output of transistor i.e. collector is connected to the IC 555 which get triggered and glows the LED connected to its output pin. Thus when LED glows we can conclude that there is an incoming call surrounding the circuit.
Mobile Incoming Call Indicator
Introduction:-
This circuit can be used to escape from the nuisance of mobile phone rings when you are at home. This circuit will give a visual indication if placed near a mobile phone even if the ringer is deactivated.
Objective:-
1) To know the incoming call when your mobile is in silent mode.
2) To avoid parents knowing about your call
Generic Description:-
When the call is incoming to the mobile phone, the transmitter inside it becomes activated. The frequency of the transmitter is around 900 MHz. The coil L1 picks up the oscillations by induction and feeds it to the base of transistor (Q1). This makes transistor Q1 activated. Since the collector of Q1 is connected to the pin 2 of IC1 (NE555), the IC1 is triggered to make the LED connected at its output pin (pin 3) to blink. The blinking of the LED is the indication of incoming call.
Input:-
The frequency of oscillation of the transmitter is picked up by induction and feeds it to the main body i.e. main circuit of the Indicator.
Main Block (Mobile Incoming Call Indicator):-
The picked up frequency triggered the main component IC (NE555) and the logical operation is performed.
Output:-
The LED connected to the output pin of the IC(NE555) is the output unit. When we have incoming call, the LED blinks.
Circuit Description:-
1) The coil L1 can be made by making 150 turns of 36 SWG enameled copper wire on a 5mm dia plastic former. Or a 10µH coil can be purchased from the market if available.
2) The circuit can be powered from a 6V battery.
3) Assemble the circuit in a good quality PCB.
4) C1 & C3 are to be polyester capacitor and the electrolytic capacitor C2 must be rated 10V.
Methodology:-
The title of the project was selected and necessary information was studied.
All the required circuit elements were purchased.
Circuit connections were made according to the circuit diagram.
Then the working of the circuit was tested and the project was presented to the teacher.
Schedule:-
1st week:-
Study the working and pin configuration of IC (NE555).
2nd week:-
Buy the necessary circuit element and prepare the circuit.
3rd week:-
Test the circuit and perform the simple test to know the working of the circuit.
4th week:-
Present the project to the concerned teacher.
Purpose
This circuit can be used to escape from the nuisance of mobile phone rings when you are at home. This circuit will give a visual indication if placed near a mobile phone even if the ringer is deactivated. This circuit was designed to detect when a call is incoming in a cellular phone (even when the calling tone of the device is switched-off) by means of a flashing LED.
The device must be placed a few centimeters from the cellular phone, so its sensor coil L1 can detect the field emitted by the phone receiver during an incoming call.
Device operation
When a call is coming to the mobile phone, the transmitter inside it becomes activated. The frequency of the transmitter is around 900MHz.The coil L1 picks up these oscillations by induction and feds it to the base of Q1. This makes the transistor Q1 activated.Since the Collector of Q1 is connected to the pin 2 of IC1 (NE555) , the IC1 is triggered to make the LED connected at its output pin (pin 3) to blink. The blinking of the LED is the indication of incoming call.
The signal detected by the sensor coil is amplified by transistor Q1 and drives the monostable input pin of IC1. The IC's output voltage is doubled by C2 & D2 in order to drive the high-efficiency ultra-bright LED at a suitable peak-voltage.
