Project Title:
Modeling and Analysis of Motor Cycle Wheel Rim
(Model Bajaj Pulsar 150 c bike)
Design part:
1. Design the wheel ,made up of aluminum material (current design of wheel with 6 spoke)
2. Optimize that particular design i.e. try to reduce the weight of that wheel by reducing the spoke no. i.e. 4 or 5 spoke.(try to reduce the weight 50 to 60 gram.) using the same material aluminum.
3. Design the same wheel (6 spoke) by using the alternate materials
1) Carbon fiber
2) Thermoplastic resin
Analysis part:
1) Analyze the aluminum alloy wheel with 6 spoke.
2) Analyze the aluminum alloy wheel with optimized design i.e. 4 to 5 spokes.
3) Analyze the carbon fiber material wheel with 6 spokes.
4) Analyze the thermoplastic resin, material wheel with 6 spokes.

• Structural analysis(linear and non linear analysis)
1) Max & min stress
2) Max & min strain
3) Displacement
4) Tool life
5) Damage percentage
6) Load factor
7) Frequency
• Fatigue analysis
1) Fatigue strength
2) Other factors involved in fatigue analysis
• Vibrational analysis
1) Natural frequency of the material.
• Heat transfer analysis
1) Thermal conductivity of each material.
