Abstracts: This project is based on the agricultural field considering the improvement of the manufacturing process of the agricultural tools. This generally includes the tools like tiller blades, cultivation blades, rotary blades, plough parts, frame to attach these tools generally made of carbon steels. In the company they use conventional process including manufacturing through forging hammer and press machines. it requires to modify & make efficient use of the press machines & to remove the tedious drop forging process in the manufacturing of the tools. Also die of the press poses the constraints to these requirements. Study related to the process shows that the improvement in press machines can help in speeding of the process as well as less power consumption by modifying the pulley parameters & the use of gear material such as timber bearings. Also the analysis of die material had been carried out showing that the material of hot die steel is advantageous to be used in the process. In this semester we have made 2 kinds special die first one is of “v” shape and second one is of wedge shape type. In addition we are proposing piercing and blanking die for shaping the blade. We have proposed a different die material for the die, replacing the older material, which has better strength and rigidity. We are proposing a roll forging for manufacturing of cultivator blade, by using which we can get the whole long blade and we can cut it into dimension as we desire.
