Introduction to project:
• WebMail Processor is a fully MIME (Multi Purpose Mail Extension)compatible pure Java implementation of a Web mail application.
• It enables the user to access, manage and compose emails using a standard web browser.
• Web Mail is a POP3 (Post Office Protocol) & SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) compatible. It is a multi-protocol full featured web mail.
Purpose of the project
To create a web portal which is used to transmit mails or to read received mails with In a Software Organization among employees. It will not allow to send mails to the people who Are not working in the same Organization. So code (programs) developed in software Company will not be transmitted to outside.
Existing System
In normal mailing systems, people can send mails from one mail server to another mail server. E.g. Yahoo mail to Gmail etc., in these types of applications any user can send mails, receive mails and also they can store in different levels like drafts and separate folders. But they are not providing any reminder facilities to their users. This is the main disadvantage in current scenario, to avoid this problem we are going to introduce a new web portal within an organization called “James mailing system”.
Proposed System
• WebMail Processor is a fully MIME (Multi Purpose Mail Extension) -compatible pure Java implementation of a Web mail application.
• It is a multi-protocol full featured web mail which contains Address book, Calendar etc.
Installation & Acceptance Test:
During the installation and acceptance stage, the software artifacts, online help, and initial production data are loaded onto the production server.
The primary outputs of the installation and acceptance stage include a production application, a completed acceptance test suite, and a memorandum of customer acceptance of the software. Finally, the PDR enters the last of the actual labor data into the project schedule and locks the project as a permanent project record. At this point the PDR "locks" the project by archiving all software items, the implementation map, the source code, and the documentation for future reference.
Software Testing
Testing is a process, which reveals errors in the program. It is the major quality measure employed during software development. During testing, the program is executed with a set of test cases and the output of the program for the test cases is evaluated to determine if the program is performing as it is expected to perform.
Conclusion:
The entire project has been developed and deployed in order to provide mailing facilities among employees of an Organization and to provide reminder facility regarding their works to be completed in time.
