Ann cavoukian studied about the mobile Near Field Communications and its capabilities to potential users and the public. It also discusses the privacy and security risks of NFC and explains how some of these risks can be mitigated.
Near Field Communications (NFC) is a short-range wireless communications technology that builds upon Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) and contactless smartcard technologies that enable data to be “read” at a distance. RFID is a powerful enabling “remote identification” technology being deployed in an astonish¬ingly wide range of applications and uses, from supply chain management to identity authentication and access control.
However, as remote identification technologies become widely deployed, the risks of unwanted eavesdropping, intercep¬tion, surveillance, and other misuses will likely increase.
NFC builds upon the strengths of RFID remote identification technologies while addressing many of the security and pri¬vacy risks. For example, NFC specifications restrict the physi¬cal separation of NFC devices and tags to a close proximity, and require user intervention. In the most common use-case scenarios, users’ mobile devices will:
• Scan, acquire, and act upon data stored in public posters and kiosks
• Connect and exchange data with other devices, fixed or mobile
• Emulate NFC- scannable coupons, vouchers, tickets, and loyalty, access, and payment cards. dr.chengaiah and dr.vengeteshvaralu[2] studied about the Electrical machines like DC motors, brushless DC motors, permanent magnet DC motors are being
controlled with power electronics converters. The control has become precise with invention of Micro Controller and
power devices like IGBT, Power MOSFET. In this paper the attempt is made to simulate a speed control of separately
excited DC motor with PID and fuzzy controller. The aim of this paper is providing efficient method to control speed
of DC motor using analog Controller. With the availability of MATLAB/SIMULINK, Fuzzy Controller for
comprehensive study of modeling analysis and speed control design methods has been demonstrated. The field of electrical energy will be divided into three areas: Electronics, Power and Control. Electronics
basically deals with the study of semiconductor devices and circuits at lower power. Power involves generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy. The electric motors are perhaps the most widely used energy converters in the modern machine tools and robots. These motors require automatic control of their main parameters such as speed, position, acceleration etc [1]. In this paper to control the speed of DC motor, separately excited DC drive system is used, since their simplicity, ease of applications such as reliability and favorable cost have long been a backbone of industrial applications and it will have a long tradition of use as adjustable speed machines and a wide range of options have evolved for this purpose. In these applications, the motor should be precisely controlled to give the desired performance. Here mainly concentrated on speed control of separately excited DC motor.
Le Hoang Thai 1 and Ha Nhat Tam 2 studied about the Fingerprint recognition is one of most popular and accuracy Biometric technologies. Nowadays, it is used in many real applications. However, recognizing fingerprints in poor quality images is still a very complex problem. In recent years, many algorithms, models… are given to improve the accuracy of recognition system. This paper discusses on the standardized fingerprint model which is used to synthesize the template of fingerprints. In this model, after pre-processing step, we find the transformation between templates, adjust parameters, synthesize
fingerprint, and reduce noises. Then, we use the final fingerprint to match with others in FVC2004 fingerprint database (DB4) to show the capability of the model.
A fingerprint is the reproduction of a fingertip epidermis, produced when a finger is pressed against a smooth surface. The most evident structural characteristic of a fingerprint is its pattern of interleaved ridges and valleys.
Ridges and valleys often run parallel but they can bifurcate or terminate abruptly sometimes. The fingerprint pattern contains one or more regions where the ridge lines create special shapes. These regions may be classified into three classes: loop, delta, and whorl. Many fingerprint matching algorithms pre-align fingerprint images based on a landmark or a center point which is called the core. Synthesizing fingerprint step creates a fingerprint image that contains all features of fingerprint templates. However, some minutiae of the original fingerprint are not correct on meanF. For example, M is termination minutia on fingerprint template but in meanF, it is not correct because of ridge line connection. In this step, we re-check all meanF’s minutiae and remove wrong minutiae.
Anusha Rahul1, Gokul Krishnan G2, Unni Krishnan H3 and Sethuraman Rao4 were studied about Near Field Communication, NFC- is one of the latest short range wireless communication technologies. NFC provides safe communication between electronic gadgets. NFC-enabled devices can just be pointed or touched by the users of their devices to other NFC-enabled devices to communicate with them. With NFC technology, communication is established when an NFC-compatible device is brought within a few centimetres of another i.e. around 20 cm theoretically (4cm is practical). The immense benefit of the short transmission range is that it prevents eavesdropping on NFC-enabled dealings. NFC technology enables several innovative usage scenarios for mobile devices. NFC technology works on the basis of RFID technology which uses magnetic field induction to commence communication between electronic devices in close vicinity. NFC operates at 13.56MHz and has 424kbps maximum data transfer rate. NFC is complementary to Bluetooth and 802.11 with their long distance capabilities. In card emulation mode NFC devices can offer contactless/wireless smart card standard. This technology enables smart phones to
replace traditional plastic cards for the purpose of ticketing, payment, etc. Sharing (share files between phones), service discovery i.e. get information by touching smart phones etc. are other possible applications of NFC using smart phones. This paper provides an overview of NFC technology in a detailed manner including working principle, transmission details, protocols and standards, application scenarios, future market, security standards and vendor’s chipsets which are available for this standard. This comprehensive survey should serve as a useful guide for students, researchers and academicians who are interested in NFC Technology and its applications
Aman Singh1, Abhishek Yadav2, H.P. Singh3, S.K. Dubey4 were studied about Home security system has been a major issue where crime is increasing and everybody want to take proper measures to prevent intrusion. In addition there was a need to automate home so that user can take advantage in such a way that
person getting off the office doesn’t get melted with hot climate. A traditional home security system gives the signals in terms of alarm. However, the GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) based security systems provides enhanced security as whenever a signal from sensor occurs, a text message is sent to a desired number to take necessary actions. This paper suggests method for home security system. The method involves sending of message using GSM module (SIM300) and ATMEGA8Lmicrocontroller, sensors, buzzers, relays. We have made a big contribution in the promotion and reliability of home security system. Among the contribution, the part of providing automatic text message notification regarding any undesirable movements is user friendly, live streaming of camera of user‟s desired secured zone is more trustable than that of previous versions of home security system. This is a security system which is buried to ensure the safety and security asset and the threat by using an ATMEGA8L microcontroller to automatically send predefined text notification to a desired number to meet technological advancement to automate life and to prevent intrusion to provide maximum protection. This paper mainly focuses on the security of a home when the user is away from
the place. The aim of this paper is to develop and launch an up-to-date, reliable and user friendly security system to automate home

homes.
Nwankwo Prince .N,Orji Mary ,N and Osuji Christopher .U were studied about This paper presents the design and implementation of Short Message Service (SMS) banking system. SMS banking is a technology – enabled service offered by banks to its customers, permitting them to operate banking services over their mobile phones using SMS messaging. The system was designs to eliminate the problems associated with other baking systems like queuing up to; check account balance, recharge mobile phone, obtain basic information regarding one’s account, etc. To solve these problems, the project made use of a computer system running on visual basic (6.0) and General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) as its main components to develop a new technology in baking system that allows one to request and receive information to his / her mobile phone via Short Message Service (SMS), carry other baking activities “remotely” without being present at the bank. After the design, the system was used to carry out some transactions like; account balance enquiry, fund deposit / transfer, mobile phone recharge and the performance was satisfactory. At the end one can say that the (SMS) baking system is a wonderful breakthrough in banking industry developed to eliminate the inconvenience associated with other banking systems. In most developing countries, internet connectivity and bandwidth are low, making realization of internet banking services not so viable. Hence the SMS banking system has a very high practicality and potential in countries where internet infrastructure hinders the access to electronic banking services and inconvenience of accessing ATM machines.
T.K. Sethuramalingam and M. Karthighairasan were studied about the automatic gas valve control system is designed using arduino hardware. Arduino is an open hardware platform that provides a rapid prototype development. A servomotor is fitted to a gas valve. Four control positions are carried out by the module, two main positions are used to open or close the valve. The valve opens at 90° and closes to 0°. This library allows an Arduino board to control RC (hobby) servo motors. Servos have integrated gears and a shaft that can be precisely controlled.
A RDUINO is an open hardware platform which is a portion of the automatic control for laboratory sterilization progression. Sterilization is a familiar practice in biological laboratories and it is defined as a development of microbial grown control, concerning the overall annihilation of any microorganism on all objects. Diverse techniques exploit heat as a method to demolish microorganisms. These are referred as thermal techniques. Two main techniques are moist heating and dry heating. Moist heating makes use of water steam. This module is exploited for controlling the flame for producing heat. The device is constructed with the help of Atmel’s high density non-volatile memory technology. The Flash Program memory can be reprogrammed In-System through an SPI serial interface, by a traditional non-volatile memory programmer, or by an On-chip boot program running on the AVR core. The boot program can employ any interface to download the application program in the Application Flash memory. Software in the Boot Flash Section will prolong to run at the same time the Application Flash Section is updated, providing true Read-While-Write operation. By integrating an 8-bit RISC CPU with In-System Self-Programmable Flash on a monolithic chip, the Atmel ATMEGA328 is a dominant microcontroller that offers an extremely-flexible and cost-effective solution to several embedded control applications.
M.Sailaja*1, M. Raja Roy2, S. Phani Kumar3 were studiedabout this paper that In the long run of science, since the time that science has taken a rigid form, man has stated, restated, invented, modified, discovered and re-discovered many facts, concepts and methods. In such a venture, a country’s growth in the world economy largely bases upon its power generation rate, per-capita consumption rate and most importantly, efficiency of the both. As technology is advancing, the consumption of power is steadily rising. So the challenges of power generation and its cost of production, play an important role in the countries competence in the world economy. Thus “The need of the hour is power”. So the problem identified is power generation and means to make it cheaper. The world is growing at a rapid pace. Among many vital sectors of our social life, transportation sector has a key role to play. It is an ever growing sector with the escalating population, growing needs and creeping number of vehicle users. The traffic on the roads becomes doubled or tripled, at alarming rates. If vehicular motion can be put to generate useful power, it can be put to effective use. This idea has mothered the invention of “power generation through speed breakers”, inspired by various other existing designs. In this paper an attempt has been made to generate power using speed breakers through rack and pinion mechanism by tapping the energy and utilizing it for various purposes such as lightenin the street lights, etc. The rack and pinion mechanism has advantages over the other two. When compared with roller mechanism, the slip of the tyres over the speed breaker is avoided as is possible in roller mechanism. The slip of the tyres would pose more trouble to the vehicle user than the power generated. Now our project is to completely utilize the technique of using rack and pinion mechanism for power generation.

Meriaudeau were studied about The paper presents a color sensor system that can process light reflected from a surface and produce a digital output representing the color of the surface. The end-user interface circuit requires only a 3-bit pseudo flash analog-to-digital converter (ADC) in place of the conventional/typical design comprising ADC, digital signal processor and memory. For
scalability and compactness, the ADC was designed such that only two comparators were required regardless of the number of color/wavelength to be identified. The complete system design has been implemented in hardware (bread board) and fully characterized. The ADC achieved less than 0.1 LSB for both INL and DNL. The experimental results also demonstrate that the color sensor system is working as intended at 20 kHz while maintaining greater than 2.5 ENOB by the ADC. This work proved the design concept and the system will be realized with integrated circuit technology in future to improve its operating frequency.
Dojun Yang,Inchul Hwang were studied about Nowadays, contactless payment solutions with credit cards based on a mobile phone have significant advantages in
transaction speed and users’ convenience. Especially, for merchants, a smartphone can be one of an acceptance payment solutions because it is easy for them to use with little additional price if they could use their own smartphone as it is. However, there are still many concerns on using NFC-enabled smartphone as a mobile POS, e.g. security concerns. In this paper, we proposed new security enhancement methods for the mobile POS system with a new S/W layers based on pre-existing H/W. As a result, we could see the possibility of building a mobile POS system based on existing mobile phones with proposed methods.
