Introduction
Normal people are those who are physically , socially , mentally , intellectually , and morally adjusted and is in harmony with one-self and his/her surrounding environment.
But the Special person are the ones who deviate from what is supposed to be an average in physical , social , mental , intellectual to such an extent that they requires special educational services to help develop to the maximum capacity.
There are many well known psychologists who defined “special People” in different way.
“Being disabled should mean being disqualified from having access to every aspect of life” Emma Thompson
Causes
There can be various reasons for disabilities and some are
heredity, unfavorable prenatal environment, injury during child birth, accident during early childhood causing orthopedic problems, surgery requiring the amputation of the diseased part, mental and emotional problems in early childhood result in stammering and speech defects, ear infections and injuries resulting in hearing defects, psychological, emotional problems and feeling of neglect result in behavioral problems.
Such children are not able to keep up with the desired social norms and hence are at disadvantage, imaginary defects called ‘Phantom handicaps’ occur when small children imagine they are handicapped and demand to be excused from doing things they don’t want to do.

Conclusion
Disabled persons also has found a unique place in the society like Thomas Alva Edision, Nick Vujicic, Franklin D Roosevelt, Hellen keller etc . They struggle and some how try to give their best.
Disabled people are shouldn’t need to fight for equality, but they do.
As a result of this they have managed to bring about a fundamental challenge to the ways they have been thought about.
The main achievement was a public recognition that disability is a matter of discrimination not just of sympathy and care which was written into legislation: the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
There is less segregation of disabled people from mainstream society. Voluntary organisations for disabled people now actually led by disabled people.
Disabled people are now able to choose their own care by professionally prescribed packages. Radical changes have also been made to the way health and social care professionals are taught in relation to disability.
All these changes have come about as a result of the strength of disabled people.
