Abstracts: In gas turbine combustor, in primary zone proper mixing of air and fuel is necessary. Then after some remaining unburnt particle like CO2, NOx soot etc. They should be removed by complete combustion in secondary zone. For preventing the liner from hot spots and diluting combustible gases in dilution zone. Temperature of gases is very high which affect blade of the turbine so it is necessary to decrease the temperature of the gases flow towards the turbine. The hole sizes perform important role for cooling the liner wall and proper mixing of fuel and air in combustor. For such purpose it depends on the length of penetration of air. If required penetration length is not getting than there may be possibility of hot spots on the liner wall and the hot gases may damage turbine blade. From the theory find that the liner hole diameter is provides such a great role to obtain optimum air penetration length. By various experiments will get the optimum air penetration length. Making experimental setup for performing the experiment. Blower, venturimeter and prototype of experiment will need for performing experiment.
