PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project entitled as “Online Party Hall Booking”. This project could reduce
the time in normal hall booking process. In normal reservation we have to spend more than one hour to book a hall. But this project is used to book a hall with in 5 minutes. So the customers can save their valuable time. The customer can also able to cancel the reservation.
The modules in this project are listed below:
1. Registration Module
2. Login Module
3. Hall Booking Module
4. Payment Module
5. Confirmation Module
6. Cancellation Module
7. Admin Module
Registration Module:
In this module the user can register them in the website. The registrations are done by receiving the User name, Password, Email id, Address and Phone number from the user. After the registration the user will login to the website. This registration and login modules are used for security purpose.
Hall Booking Module:
After the login session the user entered in to the Hall Booking Module .In this module, the customers or guests will book the hall for a party. The customer can also able to view the total amount, advance and balance amount for their hall reservation. The total amount for a hall will be change depends upon the hall capacity (25 members, 50 members, 100 members, 200 members, 500 members, more than 500 members hall capacities are available). If the customer want to book a hall, he should pay the advance amount (i.e30% of total amount). All the information given by the user can be viewed by the admin.
Payment Module:
The user first book the hall using hall booking module .Then he entered the payment mode (credit card/debit card) with their card number (credit card no/debit card no) and name of the card .In this module the customer should pay the advance amount for the hall reservation.
Confirmation Module:
In this module, the customer should submit the username and emailid. If he submits the details, the balance amount will be displayed from the database. Then he entered the payment mode (credit card/debit card) with their card number (credit card no/debit card no) and name of the card. If the balance amount was paid by customer, the hall reservation will be confirmed.
Cancellation Module:
In some situations, the party was postponed or cancelled. The customer can able to cancel the reservation by using this module. To cancel the hall reservation he should give the details about the party (user name, email, party date)
Admin Module:
The admin module is the master of this system. Because the information about the
hall reservation, payment(advance paid, balance paid) daily report, monthly report, registered customer details, cancellation details, confirmation details as well as the admin can view the details about the particular user by using customer search. In this module the Administrator or the Event Organizer collects people names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, Children names and birthday date, he stores all the details and informs them in advance to book the hall.
Software Features
. NET
The Microsoft®. NET Framework is a new computing platform that simplifies application development in the highly distributed environment of the Internet. The .NET Framework is a development framework that provides a new programming interface to Windows services and APIs, and integrates a number of technologies that emerged from Microsoft during the late 1990s.
The .NET Framework is designed to fulfill the following objectives:
• To provide a consistent object-oriented programming environment whether object code is stored and executed locally, executed locally but Internet-distributed, or executed remotely.
• To provide a code-execution environment that minimizes software deployment and versioning conflicts.
• To provide a code-execution environment that eliminates the performance problems of scripted or interpreted environments.
• To make the developer experience consistent across widely varying types of applications, such as Windows-based applications and Web-based applications.
• To build all communication on industry standards to ensure that code based on the .NET Framework can integrate with any other code.
MS-ACCESS
Welcome to Introduction to Microsoft Access 2003. This tutorial is designed for users who are new or only have little experience using Access 2003. It introduces fundamental database concepts and operations and illustrates how they are performed in Microsoft Access 2003. This tutorial does not cover all of the features and functions of Microsoft Access 2003, emphasis will be on basic and frequently-used features, such as the creation of tables and queries, or importing spreadsheet into Access.
SYSTEM DESIGN :
A system is a combination of resources working together to convert input to usable output.
System design is a process of translating requirements designed during analysis into several different alternatives for user consideration. In system design variety of tools such as DFD, E-R Diagram etc., are used.
System design is a process of creating alternation solutions, which satisfied the study goals, evaluating and then drawing up specification of the chosen alternatives in the design phase. The detailed design of the system selected in the study phase is accomplished and used specification into technical specification.
The System design includes
• The database tables were designed by using all necessary fields in compact manner. The redundancy of duplication of fields is avoided.
• All the input screens in the system one user friendly and in understandable forms. Also the size of all the screens is standardized.
INPUT DESIGN :
It is a process of converting the user-originated input to computer based format. In the system design phase the expanded data flow diagram identifies logical data flow. Data stores distinction in input data is collected and originated into groups of similar data.
The goal designing input data is to make the data entry easy and make it free from logical errors. The input entry to all type of clients is user name, password only if they are valid. The client is allowed to enter into the software.
CONCLUSION
In this project the validation is done at first i.e. at the time of login.
1. The customer has to enter valid username and password.
2. At the time of registration the user has to give proper username and password.
3. Once the user enters username and password then it will be verified whether the username and password are valid or not. If valid he /she will be redirected to the particular module (Admin /User).
4. The particular module confirms the type of the user login.
5. The user can able to confirm and cancel their reservation.
The admin will view all the details of customer and reservation.
