Opportunistic Routing in Ad-hoc Networks
Opportunistic Routing.pptx (Size: 80.35 KB / Downloads: 15)
Introduction
Main parameters for routing in utility based ad-hoc networks:
Scarcity(link cost)
Stability(link stable in network)
Literature Survey
There are so many routing algorithm for
ad-hoc networks:
Distance vector routing
On demand routing
Shortest path routing
Link state routing
Broadcast routing
Cross layer routing
- doesn’t propose an explicit optimization goal.
- MAC component can’t guarantee for forwarding the packet.
- Transmission range is fixed.
Opportunistic routing scheme
A node selects a relay set & assign a priority.
Nodes puts identification of the relay nodes into packet header .
After receiving , relay packet reschedules for forwarding with priorities.
Upon time out , a relay node decides to forward the packet.
