Relaying protocols are classified in three Categories:
Decode and - forward (DF).
2) Amplify-and-forward (AF).
3) Coded and forward (CF).
Decode and forward Method :
Relay decodes the source’s message and re-encodes it before forwarding it to the destination.
So there is no amplified noise in the sent signal.
Benefits of Cooperative Communication
Increased coverage.
Reduced Transmission power.
Cooperative Diversity.
Better signal quality.
Higher data rates, fewer retransmissions so less Network delay.
Opportunistic use of network energy and bandwidth
Complete solution to mobility for real time traffic in wireless networks.
Applications of CWC
Cellular Networks.
Wireless Sensor Networks.
Femtocells.
Wi-Fi.
Wireless Body Sensor Networks.
