Basic Electronic Components
CAPACITOR :A capacitor (originally known as condenser) is a passive two-terminal electrical component used to store energy in an electric field.
TRANSISTOR :
A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify and switch electronic signals and electrical power. It is composed of semiconductor material with at least three terminals for connection to an external circuit. A voltage or current applied to one pair of the transistor's terminals changes the current through another pair of terminals.
DIODE :
A diode is a two-terminal electronic component with asymmetric transfer characteristics, with low (ideally zero) resistance to current flow in one direction, and high (ideally infinite) resistance in the other. A semiconductor diode, the most common type today, is a crystalline piece of semiconductor material with a p-n junction connected to two electrical terminals
FUNDAMENTALS OF
EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
An embedded system is a special-purpose computer system designed to perform one or a few dedicated functions, often with real-time computing constraints. It is usually embedded as part of a complete device including hardware and mechanical parts. In contrast, a general-purpose computer, such as a personal computer, can do many different tasks depending on programming. Embedded systems control many of the common devices in use today. -- Wikipedia
