INTRODUCTION TO INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
Industrial training is necessary for all HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT students for exchange to their diploma. Industrial training also purposely to give exposure and experience to students into a real hospitality world and also to give preparation to the student before work into this industry. For the batch 5, this industrial training starts from 1 AUGUST 2012 to 1 DECEMBER 2012.
I got my place for my internship program at PHILEA RESORT & SPA. In this PHILEA RESORT, I have been placed for service staff. During my internship here, I was given an opportunity to look into their service operation procedures, feedback from customer, new menu that have been integrated, also many things that I have been looked. This exposure and knowledge that I got taught me how to manage a restaurant and improving my knowledge clearer about this hospitality industry.
PURPOSE OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
The purpose of this industrial training been held are to give exposure and introduction to students about all aspect of hospitality world, and their role for people.
OBJECTIVE OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
I. To give exposure to the student into a reality world
II. To expand the knowledge by the student
III. To raise awareness and increase student interest in college education.
IV. Enable student to relate theories into practical that have been through.
V. Know and be able to familiarize themselves with the safety regulations in the industry.
VI. Able to show trustful attitude.
VII. Instilling always want to know a new things.
VIII. To inject spirit in students to improve their performances.
This industry training is crucial to graduators for their confidence; expanding existing corporate relationships are together or not, to plant morale in teamwork, assessing skills in the job, and to introduce you in term of ability, willingness and attitude of the students towards future employer also can provide an official report after the completion of training.

A week ago, several us was fortunate to visit the exclusive resort for just about any weekend of relaxation and rejuvenation. Upon reaching the lobby in the resort, I was in awe while using architecture and elegance of the building. It absolutely was fundamental yet modern, with logs testing out a sizable part of the building. I understood then it, that we was in the heart of a haven.

TRAINING SCHEDULE
In this training schedule show the time table for each staff in Philea Resort & Spa. The training schedule below is example of duty roaster in August. There are 3 shifts that are practicing in Philea Resort & Spa which is 7.00 am – 3.00 pm, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm, 3.00 pm – 11.00 pm. Each staffs are assigned in 3 sections which are service, kitchen, and cashier. However, this duty roaster is always changing every month.
My area in this month is service section. My expectation in this service section is need a lot of hard work, planning, hygiene, cleaning, take ordering, and strength because this section are focusing on guest satisfaction, meal, and expectation. Example there is 6 people in one table are having their lunch in Philea Resort & Spa. Our job is to serving the food and drinks, take ordering, and place the ordering at the kitchen.
My objective in this area is to learn how the workflow of working in this restaurant. Besides, I also want to observe of how their critical thinking that happens every day without any complaint. My goal is to learn how a manger can control their staff in every work that is involved in this restaurant. I also want to learn how to manage overall operation in consistent without any stress.
