Abstracts: Differential is a device, which normally works as a power transmission system in automobile. Differential works to transmit the power from engine to the wheels. Another use of differential is during taking a turn of four-wheel, outer wheel have to take more revolutions than inner wheels due to radius diffrerent and differential is designed to drive the outer wheel with more revolution speed, thus it helps to turn the vehicle on rough and slippery or muddy road without slip of wheels with less effort. But when the four-wheel drive goes to on the road and at a muddy road come.at that time wheel is entangle to road so that when the more power transfer to the wheel, which is entangle to muddy surface and on applying force, due to slippery surface slipping action is done on that tyre and no vehicle propell further.Then for the solve this problem we can provide locking on the differential.In which necessary wheel of drive(which is entagal) is locked by locking differential and transmit the power in required side. One other Solution of this problem is if we provied extra lever on the wheel with hand break then we can easily lock the wheel which is necessary and transmitte the power on other side and can solve this problem easily.
