PROBLEM STATEMENT: AIRLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM
The airline reservation system stimulates the basic concepts of flight reservation.
The system enables the customer to do things such as:
-search for airline flights
-choose source and destination
-reserve flight
-cancel flight
-receive a confirmation
User will call enquiry officer in order to ask about available flights.
Enquiry officer will ask user for details such as passenger_name, age, address, gender, medical_history, source, destination, day and date of travel, class (business or economy) and number of seats.
User will provide the same.
Enquiry officer will check for flight availability and inform the user about the fares and timings. The user will decide whether he wants to travel by the suggested flight.
If he does, he will be connected to the accountant.
The accountant will ask for payment mode from the user.
The accountant will then transfer these details to the inspector.
Inspector will check for credit card validity.
If the card is valid, the inspector will direct these details to the confirmation system.
The confirmation system will then inform the user about confirmation of the tickets, date, time of departure and arrival, fares deducted, class of travel, seat number, and number of seats reserved.
The bank clerk will inform the user about the usage of his credit card.
In case the user wants to cancel a flight reservation; he calls the enquiry officer, who retrieves flight details from the system and cancels the reservation, updating the confirmation system.
Confirmation system informs user about the cancellation.
