WHAT TYPE OF PROJECT WORK WAS GIVEN TO ME.
As my inplant practical training was starting from 10th June 2009 in ABB motors Faridabad plant.I was under operations depart where Mr. Satbir Yadav was my supervisor. He handover me the project written below-
Processes On Motor(s) manufacturing from first to final stage department wise.
To understand the above project meaning paragraph written below is useful to read.
(To go to each manufacturing depart of this company and to find what they are getting material and components as input and what they do machining process on the components or parts and finally what they are producing output and for which depart they handover their output for further machining or assembly, hence this output is again an input for the depart. This process is going on till the dispatching of final product.)
Actual project work starts here.
As company produces three-phase squirrel cage induction motor. For motor to complete mfg. three departs ate actually doing processing on different components of a motor to assemble it to a final complete motor.
IMPREGNATION
There are two types of impregnation processes are available
FLOOD IMPREGNATION
In this process the air pressure is used to take up the resin up to overhang level(level where winding comes out). The stator is placed vertical at charge tank.this is simple process & applied for all standard motors.
Vaccume Pressure Impregnation
This is a moderate process, this is applied only for special motors in this process first of all motors are pre heated at 110to 140 deg. C and allow to cool down up to 60 deg C. then they are placed in a charge tank & vacuum is created up to one torr. This vacuum is maintained for 30 minutes. Then from second tank the mixture of ready resin is allowed to come in, when stators are completely submerged maintain the position for 30 minutes then apply pressure of 2.9kg/cm cube. for 30 minutes with moist free air.
Then drain the extra resin and cure at 80 deg C for two hour this 80 deg temp decrease the viscosity of resin & it helps to rinse in side the slot.
Allow the stator temp to come down at 60 deg. C then repeat vacuum and pressure for same time & limit. Now this time cure the stator at 140 deg. If you are using class f resin then this stator is ready for assembly.
Any personality of the company
As it is stated that the company has casuals but they are not come in counting with regular employees. Here on approximate counting there are 90 casuals working in factory manufacturing shops with regular workers.
During my in-plant practical training in this company from 10th june to 28thJuly 2009. I went to every shop for my job purpose and meet many operators at various machines and stations. Every one gave me their valuable suggestions to understand the working procedure of their respected jobs. But the person Mr. Raj Kumar Rohila a permanent of this company influenced me very much because he is incharge of type test in BU-1 testing. Has much knowledge about almost all working procedure of a motor. He helped me to understand the operations on stator winding and all type of tests of the motors . Along with him in the Quality control Mr. V.P. Chaudhary and Mr. Narinder Jain bot working as the managers in the Quality control helped me a lot in under standing the working procedure of the Quality control .In Quality control my practical training was given to me by Mr. C.K. Kurup. He is working as a Quality control Inspector in this department .Their valuable help decrease my half of project work problem and I was able to write this report.
