Memory
- A keyhole to information
Memory
Physical device to store information.
Memory cells often associated with
addressable semiconductor memory.
► mainly Integrated Silicon based Transistor
Two types
► Volatile (RAM, DRAM)
► Non volatile (ROM, PROM etc..)
paper
Paper might seem like an unlikely
material in the electronic race, but paper actually have a endless range of properties.
Light weight
Flexible
Biodegradable
Comes from renewable resource
Electrical insulator
Can be made :
• Hydrophilic or Hydrophobic
• Opaque or Translucent
• Delicate or Strong
• Course or as Smooth as glass
Paper electronics have the potential to be extraordinarly cheap.
Paper has already shown promise as
a substrate for sensors, batteries,
circuit boards etc.
RRAM
Non volatile memory
Basic cell usually consist of a top electrode and a bottom electrode.
So that the switching material is sandwiched between perpendicular arrays of electrodes.
Used to print lines, consisting
of Titanium oxide nano particles.
Then above that a silver dot
is also printed.
The Titanium oxide layer act
as a dielectric.
The silver layer act as top
electrode.
