Performance Evaluation.ppt (Size: 266.5 KB / Downloads: 20)
Objective
To propose a new model hybrid approach by integrating power mode, power adjustment and clustering approaches thus can exploit advantages of each approach.
To increase network lifetime, coverage and connectivity .
To save the transmission power and energy.
Motivation
Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN) is a network that consists of small nodes with sensing, computation and communication capabilities.
WSNs are rapidly growing area due to its wide applications, lower cost and smaller in size.
Major issues are coverage, connectivity problems, energy consumption and operational lifetime.
Batteries in WSN are not rechargable and replacable hence challenge is to identify methods to manage the energy consumption and maximize the network lifetime
WORK DONE SO FAR
Literature survey for clustering approach and power adjustment approach is continued.
Existing Clustering technique is analysed.
