this is an integrated solution for supporting the operational needs of manufacturing industries. The system acts as an indicator of the performance of machines and becomes integral to the achievement of process improvement.it provides the overall detailed information about the components/machine used in an industry. It provides an important management tool to monitor performance of various equipments and ensures necessary corrective actions for improving plant performance. Reports can be generated daily, weekly, monthly etc on the basis performance trends for MTBF ,MTTR ,OEE for a particular machine as well.
As we know that Industrialization has always been booming and the competition is very high, it is becoming very difficult to manage data. The traditional way of managing data is the form of registers is highly inefficient and time consuming. If we try to perform calculations on such a data there is a lot of time wastage and there is no guarantee of accuracy.
As the Internet becomes more widely used, the number of innovative ways to exploit the technology increases. All the Industries want that all their calculation should be fast and accurate. If we use Information technology to manage the data it has no of advantages apart from being fast and accurate .A major advantage is that we need less person to manage data .For all these advantages we had designed the software namely Performance Monitoring System for Plant Equipments
The objective of any manufacturing organization is to maximize profit from plant operations. Therefore, it is imperative to have satisfactory performance from plant equipments. It is proposed to design a system for monitoring the performance of critical plant equipments using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
It is suggested to measure the following plant performance metrics to have better reliability, maintainability and performance of plant equipments.

Indiators of performance:
· Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)
· Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
· Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Mean Time Between Failure:
It is a measure of reliability. It tells about how long a machine works.
MTBF = Total Running Time / Number of failure
Mean Time To Repair:
It is a measure of maintainability. It tells about how long a machine takes to repair.
MTTR = Total Time of Failure / Number of failure
Overall Equipment Effectiveness
OEE breaks the performance of a manufacturing unit into three separate but measurable components: Availability, Performance, and Quality. Each component points to an aspect of the process that can be targeted for improvement.
Availability:
It represents the percentage of scheduled time that the operation is available to operate.
Availability = Operating Time / Planned Production Time
Performance:
It represents the speed at which the Work Center runs as a percentage of its designed speed.
Performance = (Total Pieces / Operating time) / Ideal Run Rate
Quality:
It represents the Good Units produced as a percentage of the Total Units Started.
Quality = Good Pieces / Total Pieces
