Method Of Implementing
TWO WAY AUTHENTICATIONS
Normal pin verification method
If password is correct it goes to the second step
Two way authentication method
MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION (MFA):
System in which more than two form of authentication is implemented to verify the authenticity of a transaction.
Biometric authentication be one way of authentication.
Coz of its multiple step/ biometric verification to authenticate the user , the system complexity increases but provides higher level of security.
Existing Methodology
Existing s/m use mobile phone , to generate One Time Password (OTP).
Three universally recognized authentication factors:
what you know (passwords)
what you have (tokens, cards)
what you are (biometrics)
DEFAULT OF EXISTING TECHNOLOGY
The first known instance of a fake ATM was installed at a shopping mall in Manchester, Connecticut in 1993
By modifying the inner workings of a Fujitsu model 7020 ATM, a criminal gang known as The Buckland’s Boys were able to steal information from cards inserted into the machine by customers.
Power Supply Unit
Two regulators: 7805 & 7812
7805 IC :-To get 5V supply to run AT 89C51 microcontroller.
7812 IC :- To get 12V supply to energize relay and run DC motor.
Power supply - +5V, with maximum allowable transients of 10mv.
To achieve a better/suitable contrast for the display, the voltage at pin3 should be adjusted properly
Conclusion
Proposed system based on microcontroller
More compact
User friendly
Less complex
Commercial and research application.
High technology (GSM) makes “Protected Cash Withdrawal in ATM Using Mobile Phone”
Fully software controlled and less hardware circuit.
