Abstract:
Library and information institutions are being confronted with dramatic changes in technology, media and financial boundary conditions. In order to enhance customer satisfaction and gain new customers, demonstrate efficiency and increase the attactiveness of their products, economic measures are becoming increasly important even in largely publicly financed libraries. Services clearly differ by several central criteria from goods such as consumer products and capital goods. The presentation will discuss on the technolgical advancement in librarianship and adptation of all advanced techniques to Pushpagiri Medical College Central Library to develop an information Center for the enrichment of library services. For which personal interviews are conducted to collect views and suggestion from the personnels. Along with this, personal interviews are also conducted to the user community whom are the benificials of Pushpagiri Medical College Central library. It will finally be shown that certain technical hazards forced to limit the adaptation of allavailable advancement in a single point. Quality management in libraries is an ongoing process which never ends as the technologies are changing.
Objectives of the study
1. To find out the different types of services available in the PIMS library.
2. To find out the weakness of the services provided from the PIMS library.
3. To find out the user satisfaction of the PIMS Library users.
4. To find out the solution to improve the available services.
5. To understand the proble of the existing system.
