INTROTUCTION
This project work was undertaken at our polytechnic in partial fulfillment of requirement of “DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGG” . The aim of the project work is to acquire best practical knowledge in designing and constructing a machine.
The practical difficulties are found in sequential order and the corrective action is taken to over come the problems. The fabrication of machine is done and thus it has no technical problems due to the properties and characteristics of material
In crude method, the water in the radiator water level is defined by engine temperature. In this device, the controlling of water level is directly from the radiator through electronic circuit by modifying the crude method
RADIATOR
It Provides A Large Cooling Surface Area To Flow Of Hot Water And Air. So, That the water circulating through it which is cooled efficiently. It consists ofa upper tank and lower tank and between them a core. The core is a radiating element which cools the water. The core or the matrix is assembly of number of small diameter copper tubes .The core or the matrix is assembly of number of small diameter copper tubes. The tubes are surrounded by fines. The tubes connect the upper and lower tanks.
RELAY
Relay is an electromagnetic switch, which is getting closed when water level is reduced to certain extent. It is used to isolate the electrical & electronic circuits.
TRANSISTOR:
It is a Controlled switch. The controlling action is done through base of the transistor. When the supply is given to the base of the transistor , it is getting closed i.e., on position. If the supply is not there it goes to off position.
MICROCONTROLLER:
A microcontroller is a complete microprocessor system built on a single IC. Microcontrollers were developed to meet a need for microprocessors to be put into low cost products. Building a complete microprocessor system on a single chip substantially reduces the cost of building simple products, which use the microprocessor's power to implement their function, because the microprocessor is a natural way to implement many products. This means the idea of using a microprocessor for low cost products comes up often.
RADIATOR CAP:
The cooling water is pressurized to some pressure above atmosphere by providing pressure cap. It prevents the formation of steam pockets near exhaust valve and narrow passages of cylinder head. In this way the engine can perform efficiently will climbing and long drives. The pressure cab is fitted to the filler neck of the radiation.
PUMP:
A pump is a device used to move gases, liquids or slurries. A pump moves liquids or gases from lower pressure to higher pressure, and overcomes this difference in pressure by adding energy to the system such as a water system. A gas pump is generally called a compressor, except in very low pressure-rise applications, such as in heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning, where the operative equipment consists of fans or blowers.
Pumps work by using mechanical forces to push the material, either by physically lifting, or by the force of compression. Hand-operated, reciprocating, positive displacement, water pump.
TANK:
Tank is a storage part. It is rectangular shape. And it made up of steel plate. It is storage water and gas.
STAND:
It is made up of M.S L-angle. The overall dimensions depend upon the size of radiator. The tank & circuit board is assembled to the stand through plates by welding.
ALARM CIRCUIT:
BUZZER:
A buzzer or beeper is a signaling device, usually electronic, typically used in automobiles, household appliances such as a microwave oven, or game shows. It most commonly consists of a number of switches or sensors connected to a control unit that determines if and which button was pushed or a preset time has lapsed, and usually illuminates a light on the appropriate button or control panel, and sounds a warning in the form of a continuous or intermittent buzzing or beeping sound. Initially this device was based on an electromechanical system which was identical to an electric bell without the metal gong (which makes the ringing noise).
Often these units were anchored to a wall or ceiling and used the ceiling or wall as a sounding board. Another implementation with some AC-connected devices was to implement a circuit to make the AC current into a noise loud enough to drive a loudspeaker and hook this circuit up to a cheap 8-ohm speaker. Nowadays, it is more popular to use a ceramic-based piezoelectric sounder like a Sonalert which makes a high-pitched tone. Usually these were hooked up to "driver" circuits which varied the pitch of the sound or pulsed the sound on and off.
