Abstracts: Phthalocyanine Green G, also called phthalo green, Pigment Green 7, Copper Phthalocyanine Green, C.I. Pigment Green 7, Non-flocculating Green G, Polychloro copper phthalocyanine, or C.I. 74260, is a synthetic green pigment from the group of phthalocyanine dyes, a complex of copper(II) with chlorinated phthalocyanine. It is a very soft green powder insoluble in water. They are used in commercial scale Due to its stability; phthalo green is used in inks, coatings, and many plastics. In application it is transparent. The pigment is insoluble and has no tendency to migrate in the material. It is a standard pigment used in printing ink and packaging industry. It is also allowed in all cosmetics except those used around the eyes, and is used in some tattoos. The main aim of this project is to study the reducing time in the drying process for the production of copper phthalocyanine green 7 pigment , process parameters and perform R&D at premises to reduce the drying time of the production of Phthalocyanine Green G. The company profile, introduction, process description, material balance, energy balance, design of dryer, cost estimation, plant location & layout, utilities, health and safety concern, is done on the equipment as required. Mainly produced by CPC Blue. The project report contains Environmental Standards and regulations. After doing the experiment we have reduced the drying time from 12 hrs to 6.48 hrs which is half of the original time required in the old process.
