AUTOMOBILE INTRODUCTION
In the automobile world today, there are bikes which are specifically born to carry certain hordes of bike lovers. Some loaded with out of the world styling, super charged horses to perform and the others built with optimised horses to squeeze every drop of fuel to drag on for an extra mile. In the middle, lies this one section which look forward to have a bit of both until they have enough to move for the better styled and powered horses. Feeding this section is the suzuki max 100, show stopper without a doubt built to perform to its maximum limits, built to last for generations, built to be an inseperable family member and built to stop anything unnecessary flowing out of the hole in your pocket. You could call it the ultimate middle class bike, the best in its class. In fact when we look at its performance over the years, I doubt any bike in any segment can match up to it and come close to what it has delivered.
The 98.2 cc two stroke engine delivers an amazing 7.8 bhp of power. More than sufficient for the city. It is not really designed for top speeds but can hammer out a good 80 -95 km per hour. The good thing seen is that compared to most other bikes there is no drastic drop in fuel efficiency which proves what a consistent performer it is. In the city, under tough traffic conditions, it consistently delivers around 55-45 kmpl, with most people achieving a consistent 50 kmpl at an average. The older bikes... and I mean really old bikes still deliver 45 plus mileage which is phenomenal. Most high mileage 4 stroke bikes after a span of 6 years have serious and drastic drops in fuel efficiency. This is where the consistency of the max 100 stands out. It is almost maintenance free. Visits to the mechanics are very few and is a guaranteed low maintenance bike. Spare parts are very cheap, easily available and the excellent build quality of Suzuki need not even have to be looked into... it is always taken as default. This is one bike which any mechanic can easily handle and repair In fact in the south, most of the mechanics actually own a Suzuki.
ABOUT LPG SYSTEM
The LPG means Liquefied Petroleum Gas. It is also called as bottled gas (or) Refinery gas. It is obtained as a by product during cracking of heavy crude oils or from directly obtained natural gas. The LPG obtained either from cracking or from CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is dehydrated, desulphurised and traces of organic sulphide (Mercaptans) are added to give warning of gas leak.
It is then filled in cylinders and added to give warning of gas leak. It is then filled in cylinders and compressed to that extend the fuel gas in liquid state and supplied under the trade name like INDANE-BURSHANE, and many other such suppliers. The calorific value is 27.800 Keal/m approximately.
Natural gas technology I.C engines beats the current emission standards for hydro carbons (HC) and nitrous oxide (NO) by more than two thirds and level for carbondioxide (CO) by more half. LPG consists of Hydrocarbons of such volatility that they can exist as gas under atmospheric pressure but can be readily liquefied under pressure.
INTRODUCTION OF GAS TECHNOLOGY
Gas Technology is a state of Art Technology and developed first time in the world solely for small engines 50 cc to 375 cc air cooled, single cylinder 2 stroke as well 4 stroke vehicles.
Sole Objective to introduce Gas Technology, is to declare liquid fuel (Petrol) Carburetor based technology as obsolete, used presently world wide on 2 Wheelers and 3 wheelers.
World’s scientific community and automobile engineers must discard this carburetor device, as it is impractical for carburetor to mix air and petrol in accurate and in metered quantity to suit the ever changing and variable engine requirements.
Carburetor technology has failed to control the uneven supply of petrol with the incoming air stream to engine at various levels.
It is inbuilt and inherent draw back that in some circumstances the sucking air stream sucks excess petrol at carburetor ventury, resulting in petrol wastage and pollution.
MARKET POTENTIAL
To date only some little Proven Gas Technology available world wide to run two wheelers & single cylinder small engine on LPG.
LPG converter provides complete solution and 110% performance of petrol engine on Auto LPG Fuel.
In India alone we have an existing population of 90 million 2 wheelers
And every year another 9 Million new 2 wheelers are added to this existing population.
If every year 10% of this vehicle population if converted to LPG system then in India alone we have an existing market of kits worth 4000/- crores Rupees.
Converter kits can be supplied as OEM to 2 wheeler giants (After all types of Govt. Approval and certification).
Tremendous export potential, as there is a growing demand of LPG based products in ASIAN countries like Philippine, Indonesia, Malaysia etc.,
Two-Stroke Engine
The idea to build a two-stroke engine goes back to the year 1879. It was not until many years later that this engine became a qualitatively good product when the German DKW company accelerated its development. The two- stroke engine has some disadvantages and because of these disadvantages, compared with the four-stroke engine, the two-stroke engine is used practically in just a small range of capacity such as in small motorcycles. Previously the engine was used to power tiny cars.
Could an engine that needs less than four strokes and that performs with the same power as the Otto engine be constructed? Could we reduce or even replace the complicated valve mechanics? These questions led to the development of the two-stroke Otto engine. It needs only one revolution of the crankshaft to indicate a new ignition. The piston has at the same time the function of a valve, which saves many mobile parts: The two-stroke engine consists of only three mobile parts the piston, the connecting rod, and the crankshaft. The way the two stroke works is that with the first stroke the piston is at the bottom of the cylinder. A pipe at the left side is opened and lets the fuel mixture, which is already compressed a bit, flow from the lower part of the cylinder to the upper part of the cylinder. Then fresh gases expulse the now exhaust through an ejection pipe, which is not closed by the piston at this moment. Then the second stroke, after being hurried upward, the piston now covers the pipe on the left side and the ejection pipe. Because there is no way out any more, the upper, fresh gas mixture gets compressed now. At the same time in the part below fresh gas is taken in by the piston driving upward through the open suction pipe. At the upper dead-center, the compressed fuel mixture is ignited by the sparking plug, the piston is pressed downward while it compresses at the same time the fresh gas below. The process begins again as soon as the piston arrives at its lowest point.
A Running Two Stroke Engine:
A two-stroke in its purest form is extremely simple in construction and operation, as it only has three primary moving parts the piston, connecting rod, and crankshaft. However, the two-stroke cycle can be difficult for some to visualize at first because certain phases of the cycle occur simultaneously, causing it to be hard to tell when one part of the cycle ends and another begins.
Several different varieties of two-strokes have been developed over the years, and each type has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. The subject of the animated GIF (and this dissertation) is known as a case-reed type because induction is controlled by a reed valve mounted in the side of the crankcase.
CONCLUSION:
The GAS KIT FOR TWO WHEELER Mechanical Mini Project concludes IC engines of natural gas technology are very popular for hydro carbons (HC) and nitrous oxide (NO) with carbondioxide (CO). LPG includes Hydrocarbons with the presence of atmospheric pressure and is liquefied under pressure.
