Abstract:
An Indian railway is the one of the largest means of transportation. The project deals with different available techniques required for reduction of power consumption with best reliability. A new technology is being used to achieve almost the speed of plane or quite lesser than it, using a train. The technology used is called “Magnetic Levitation”.Fastest deals with the new generation of railways which is fulfilled by the maglev train(magnetic levitation train). Different magnetic fields have led the train to run at the top speed of 540 km/hr. The project deals with frictionless transportation which has made the train floating on its track. Magnetic train consist ceramic magnets, coils used to float on the track. This provides better reliability
Introduction:
An efficient way to railway system is to upmost importance for any country it is one of the key drivers for overall economic health of the nation especially through the kind the services and facilities it offers.Levitation means to raise or float against the gravitational force. So, Magnetic Levitation, by its name is understood that a raise made using magnets or magnetic field.
Concept of maglev train:
The basic concept of magnetism, likes poles repel and unlike poles attract, is the basic principle of Maglev Trains. The major difference between maglev train and conventional train is that maglev trains do not have any engine. Instead the train is propelled due to the magnetic field created by the electrified coils in the walls of the guide way and track.The electric current supplied to the coils in guide way walls are constantly alternating to change the polarity of the magnetized coil. This change in polarity is used to pull the train forward and push from backside.
Magnetic train in Society:
Maglev pairs linear synchronous motor(LSM) technology with electromagnetic suspension and guidance(EMS) technology to create a fast,safe and efficient alternative to traditional light rail, automated people movers(APM), personal rapid transit(PRT) and group rapid transit system. M3 eliminates the cost and complexity found in larger, heavier maglev projects (or) other transport modes. Our unique urban maglev design allows for smaller, lighter and easily controlled vehicles; lighter cost effective guide way with less environmental impact;and energy saving far greater than conventional transport system.Maglev utilizes LSM technology for the electromagnetic propulsion of maglev vehicles on the guideway producing thrust and braking according to system and operation requirements.
Conclusion:
Conventional railroads have achieved speeds of 500kms/hr during special laboratory speed tests, yet their normal operating speed is below 300 km/hr. Maglev vehicles are designed for operating speeds of upto 500km/hr. besides the speed improvements over other methods of transportation. Maglev train experiences lower energy consumption,less power, lower noise levels and much faster acceleration without affecting passenger comfort. Maglev trains are planned for 3 areas of transportation; local connections such as airport links,medium distances intercity connections; and long distance national and international connections. This train causes a lot of advantages to the present society. It has greately helped the society to manage time more accuracy. Magnetic train is a highly commercial train which can bring the government to great trade.
