Research Methodology is a way to systematically solve the research problem. Extreme care must be taken in every step of research for the project to provide reliable data. The following methodology has been adopted in conducting the Research Design.
RESEARCH DESIGN:
A Research design specifies the methods and procedures of conducting a particular study. It is the map or blue print according to which the research is to be conducted.
SOURCE OF DATA:
This study is based on secondary data.
SECONDARY DATA:
Secondary data are those data which have been collected by someone else and which have been passed through the statistical process. Such data are collected and used for some other objective of understanding the past status of any problem. These data have been collected from various files, records, annual reports and fixed assets records of the company and other related books of the company.
TYPE OF DESIGN:
This study is based on Analytical research design. The type of research design undertaken is Exploratory Research and Descriptive Research. The research design adapted is said to be exploratory because no problem or issue is not clearly defined.
The study describes the data and characteristics of fixed assets which are physically verified for its existence and utilization. Although the research design was aimed at higher accuracy, the causes behind the situation could not be gathered, so it’s just a descriptive research.
TOOLS OF ANALYSIS:
Ratio analysis was used to find out financial ratios relating to fixed assets
Comparative balance sheet
Chart for fixed asset movement
Calculation of depreciation in straight line method
